Cố Đô stilt-house restaurant is located at the center of Hoa Lu ancient capital which is just about 1km from Trang An grottoes area, 3km from Bai Dinh pagoda. The long house on stilts was designed and built by the Tay ethnic craftsmen for 9 months.

Cố Đô Stilt-house keeps the original architecture of the old Tay ethnic group with unique features of 18 compartments and 54 pillars which symbolize for 18 Hung Kings (the kings of Au Lac kingdom, Vietnam before BC) and 54 brother ethnic groups in the ancient land of Vietnam.

Cố Đô Stilt-house with the age of 36 years old had been made of many valuable woods. This is one of the biggest and largest houses on stilts in Ninh Binh with pillars of 1.5 meters circumferential and 9 meters high.

With a good location of geomancy “the front is river, the back is mountain” surrounded by a lot of old big trees gives Cố Đô stilt-house restaurant more ancient and traditionally cultural features.
