Trương Hán Siêu ( of the 12th century) was a native of Phúc Thành Commune, Yên Ninh District, Ninh Bình Province. He used to be a special guest of General Trần Hưng Đạo, and then engaged in political affairs during the reigns of king Trần Anh Tông and king Trần Dụ Tông. He was granted the title “The Great Tutor” and “First of the Prince”. When he died, Trương Hán Siêu was worshipped in Văn Miếu (Temple of Literature). |

Trang An Grottoes area is located 4km Southwest of Hoa Lu ancient capital inside Trang An Eco tourism complex. The Trang An Grottoes has an area of 1,500 hectares; including: limestone ranges, valleys, caves and rivers. All these factors make a fanciful and romantic atmostphere. There is a system of unique grottoes like Ba Giot, Dia Linh, Toi (Dark Cave), Sang (Bright Cave), Ao Trai Cave and Seo Cave. There are many valleys like Tran Temple valley, May valley, Khong Valley, Nau Ruou Valley (Wine brewing valley). |

Dong Chuong Lake is a big and clear sapphire water lake, lying between 2 communes of Phu Loc and Phu Long, Nho Quan district. When tourists visit here, they seem to be lost in heaven. The lake is very large and the water is always blue. |

Quan Chao temple (Soup-shop temple) is located on Highway No.1, in Bac Son ward, Tam Diep town (Thien Ly road in the past). Due to the expansion of Highway No.1, the temple was rebuilt on a hill where it is today. Its official and full name is "Chuc Son Tien tu" (Fairy temple of Chao mountain). |

Ma Tien Cave is located halfway up Ma Tien Mountain (Roi Ngua Mountain) in Ma Tien hamlet, Yen Dong commune in Yen Mo district. It has a name of Ma Tien, as there is a legend that it used to be a living place of fairies. |

Dong Dac pagoda is located in Dong Huong commune, Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province. It is the biggest church of Kim Son Catholic area and the earliest religious architecture. The pagoda was built over many years in the newly found Kim Son district by a monk of Le Dynaty who chaired in Phuc Nhac pagoda, Khanh Nhac commune in Yen Khanh district and the land developer Nguyen Cong Tru. |
